The idea for the business was initiated when Paul’s nephew wanted a low loader trailer for his birthday. At the time, his parents searched local shops and the internet, but there was nothing available. Since this was his only nephew, Paul offered to make him a low loader trailer. After many evenings and Saturdays, a low loader trailer was completed, and we had a very happy birthday boy who had many years of fun with his trailer. Although the trailer is no longer in use, it is still safely stored in the garage for the next generation.

After a neighbour saw how much fun was had with the trailer, he commissioned Paul to make two silage trailers for his sons for Christmas. Paul accepted this challenge and again endured long evenings and Saturdays in the garage with many hand tools before there was a result. Again, these trailers saw many years of fun and acres of silage gathered, and are too parked up in a garage for the next generation.

After this, Paul made a few trailers in his spare time and sold them on Done Deal.  Seeing there was a demand for miniature farming implements for ride on pedal tractors, Paul set about drawing plans and making prototypes for other farming implements, and soon Killbran Toy Trailers was born.
